It doesn't seem like much of a stretch to have emissions peak in 3 years if we want to cut it in half in 7. We just need to actually do it.

There is no realistic path towards this, and we're now seeing a whole new wave of fossil fuel development thanks to the economic war with Russia that west is waging.
