Since I’m a more of a tablet user, my daily devices are iPhone and iPad at the moment. I’m using Safari with AdGuard and private relay, but I was thinking of switching to Vivaldi. AFAIK the engine is practically the same and doing so I would also lose private relay and extensions support. I’ve already ditched other Apple apps and switched to EU services on almost everything (also not Apple related) What do you think? What do you use on iOS?

Firefox, like on my PC. But afaik there’s technically no difference between the browsers on iOS?

Yeah, the EU has forced Apple to allow third-party browsers, but that was only a few months ago and there aren’t any currently available yet. Since they had been disallowed for so long, no browsers had something ready to go; writing them to be compatible with iOS will take time.

EU has forced Apple to open some limits on iOS devices. Developers are now allowed to use alternative browser engines, and also alternative app stores are now possible within the EU. Apple is of course being extremely strict with all the requirements. I don't know if browsers with alternative engines have yet been released, but I do recall some browser maker saying they are working on such a version of their browser.

I use the Orion browser as it has firefox/chrome extensions. They’re planning to make it open-source. The browser is way more private than safari though the team is based in California.
