Summary

Rep. Chuck Edwards faced a hostile crowd at a town hall in Asheville, North Carolina, as attendees bombarded him with jeers and tough questions about Trump administration policies.

The event, attended by 300 inside and over 1,000 protesters outside, grew heated over Trump’s trade policies, government cuts, and Ukraine aid.

Edwards defended Trump but acknowledged voter frustrations. He insisted the administration was on track, despite disruptions.

The town hall highlighted the political divide in western North Carolina, with Asheville's liberal residents challenging Edwards on key issues.

:) I wonder if the fear is starting to creep into their heads a little more each day

I didn't think so. What a dick

'Edwards kept good humor throughout the raucous town hall, telling attendees at the end that he enjoyed hearing the crowd’s “passion” and “patriotism.” In a news conference afterward, Edwards said Trump and Musk were “over the target” in what they set out to accomplish.'

Edited, grabbed the wrong quote

Sadly I highly doubt it.

“I take away from what I heard today that we’re doing exactly what the American people sent us to Washington D.C. to do,” Edwards said, as several protesters pounded on the doors nearby.

Talk about not reading the room.

Hopefully that will change. Considering the amount of protests already and it’s not even warm yet, I hope summer is just fucking lot. I can be idealistic and a bit naive though

I mean he’s technically not wrong. This is what everybody wanted. Project 2025 was published for like almost a whole year before the election.

If Americans didn't want this they would have went to vote.

Yeah!! 10 years of bombardment, exhaustion after years of squeezing the middle class, bullshit algorithms, and a centrist media, is no excuse for confusion over what's real and what's urgent!!!

One can dream.

I guess if they didn't have the ego to think "My town hall will be different" they wouldn't have run for office to begin with.

While you didn’t post the rule-breaking content, failing to upvote Dear Leader and enthusiastically support His Vision to your friends and family is also considered a violation.

Riiiiight. People are outraged at their elected representatives, so that makes you think something is going in the right direction. What a dumbass take.

It is long past time for torches and pitchforks.
