I think he's over trained on the photo set. So the different vehicles, the different camera settings, the different times, of the country's photo sets being added to Google maps. I'm not sure his knowledge is generalizable to photos taken outside of Google

He did several "come find me from my pic" videos where users sent in images from around the world and he found where it was taken.

I distinctly remember a fishing spot where he basically found the tight tree under which the pic was taken.

If there's no cherry picking behind the scenes.... Then the answer is "yes, it is transferable".

Sure but in the 8 minute sizzle role video above many where just photos of the sky, so the image color gradient was all they had to go on....
