Company’s run by a gay man from a deep red Alabama county. I assume he very much understands what’s it’s like to be target of bigotry and discrimination.

He's still going to donate $1 million to Trump's inauguration.

My point exactly. A gay man from Alabama donating to a rapist, a pedo, a liar, and a failed businessman, who not only continues showing he doesn’t understand how the economy works, but also threatens to start a war with another NATO member.

All for tax cuts

That’s the thing right? Like if Apple/ Tim didn’t, they would be an early Republican target. 1million to hope to keep Trump off your back for a few years is probably worth it.

a bit less than one-tenth of one percent of one day's revenue.

yea, probably 'worth it'.

The $1m is being donated personally by Tim Apple. Not from Apple Inc., so bears no relation to Apple’s revenue.

I'll believe that only if his compensation for 2025 is the same as 2024 or lower. But we all know it'll at least be $1M more.

He's just indirectly providing a $1M interest free loan for the company.

His (Tim Cook) pay package for fiscal 2024 included $12 million in non-equity compensation and $1.52 million in other compensation.

it's in there somewhere.

Fair point. He paid the protection money instead of fighting.

That’s a good strategy, because appeasing fascists always works out well.

"I really wanted to change for you Donny but those damn shareholders just love DEI so damn much."
