By other countries? You don't have to be living in another country to know DeSantis is a fucking jackass and he is rewriting history. They're going full on 1984 and Fahrenheit 451 over there.

The people in charge, may have, accidentally, through no fault of their own, kind of, a little bit, totally ignored history and became doomed to repeat it, a little bit, on accident.

I think it's more likely that, seeing as how they've probably gotten proper history education (unlike many of the rest of us) they know full well what does and doesn't work, and are repeating a pattern that will give them what they want.

Just a point, I didn't say "real education," I said "proper education" qualified with a topic (history) that is taught to wildly varying degrees around the country.
