tldr (spoilers!)not ONLY with the spools with (semi) consumer products. There's stickers, residues, misc contamination, etc. that all make it not consistent enough to be doable.
However with non-consumer grade products and a mix of materials it is probably possible, however he doesn't have the machines to do so.

Recycling old prints worked ok though.

This was a good video to eat food to and figured lemmings would like it :)
