From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

I just got Huenicorn installed on my Linux desktop. Been struggling to get hue bridge to sync.

  1. I opened the huenicorn executable
  2. Typed my Hue Bridge's IP Address
  3. When I'm at the API Key screen, I pressed "I don't have credentials yet"
  4. It tells me to press the central button on my Hue Bridge and I have one minute to press "Register new user". Tried it several times with no luck.

The Hue Bridge doesn't seem to be an issue as today I got my light strip to sync to it.

I haven't tried this, I've been using huestacean though you might have to compile it yourself depending on your particulars.

Not saying anything is wrong with huenicorn, just another option if you need it. I use this primarily for entertainment mode while playing games for whatever it's worth, i can confirm that bit works well
