I tried something like this for my office chair. It was fine as a seat, but it raised my overall position on the chair vs the backrest and i ended up throwing out my back from the resulting offset. So, mind the chair you intend to use it on.

Just search for “coccyx pillow” and you’ll find the same thing from a thousand random brands, no need to buy some weird designer version.

And yeah they’re great if you need them for some reason or another.

THANK YOU. This is what I suspected, but hadn’t had any luck searching so far

https://a.co/d/2quCJmP This is the one my ex hubby has and he swore by it. Took it on road trips for long drives too. Half of the price.

That looks comfy, and I like the cutout for the coccyx.

Do you need something specialized?

My gaming chair, while comfortable, is woefully under cushioned. I actually bought the exact cushion labs product in the picture and have spent many a long day sitting on it gaming away without any complaints besides it occasionally shifts on the chair. One of these days, I'll upgrade to a better chair, but in the meantime, this was a quick, easy solution that has worked well for the last two years now.

"pressure relief", huh? Makes it easier to fart?

[–] fjordbasa@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

I actually thought “THAT’S NOT WHAT PRESSURE RELIEF MEANS” before I chuckled

I have something that looks like that my flat ass needs in my Tacoma. It's amazing

I need one for my rowing machine.

[–] alcibiades@lemm.ee 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That’s gonna fuck up your stroke bruh. If you want a seat cushion for a rowing machine a folded towel or a piece of an old yoga mat will do. You can buy more expensive rowing specific seat cushions but it’s lowk not worth it unless you’re spending a serious amount of time on the erg (and are still uncomfortable)

80$ is crazy. I bet you can find the same thing for much less. Its foam. 80$ is insane.
