All remaining episodes released at once, eh? I would have expected a rebroadcast, not this. Does that mean it wasn't doing well domestically in Japan?

Yeah it's a weird move. I know broadcast schedules are really tight in Japan and they also announced part 2, which might already be scheduled so this is possibly the best they could get to make sure it airs before part 2.
