The USAF sent an F-22 to scramble a single spy balloon over the coast of South Carolina but won’t attempt to deploy similar measures in this case? The theory that they choose not to engage the drones because they are over people’s homes does not add up any more. The coast guard in NJ reported being tailed by 12-30 of these things.

Like many others have stated it’s embarrassing. Our foreign adversaries are likely drooling over how much of a nothing burger our homeland defense is. Unless they know exactly what they are and are choosing not to engage for a different reason, we really aren’t showing much capacity to protect our own soil.

Robert Wheeler shaking like a shitting dog while admitting to congress they aren’t sure what they are is also not a good look lmao.

It blows my mind that with over 3000 sightings above public residences and many others above restricted air space that this has somehow not peeked the interest of an agency or branch of military that has the ability to respond with a big stick.
