Achievement unlocked: Mocked by Taliban

Treat women so poorly, that even talibs mock you.

[–] CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org 10 points 4 days ago

Sort of? I think this was more of a "see, Americans agree, women are shit".

[–] dan1101@lemm.ee 23 points 4 days ago (7 children)

The Taliban would have never allowed a woman on the ballot at all so yeah don't need their opinion on this.

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 17 points 4 days ago (1 children)

That's the point. They're ridiculing the hypocrisy, not the sexism.

Some americans are alright

It’s not only the taliban, they’re despicable, but the US would never elect a woman, at least that’s what the rest of the world thinks

[–] vxx@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago (3 children)

Yep, my female workmate told me on the morning of election that she believes trump will win because men hate woman.

[–] JohnEdwa@sopuli.xyz 2 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

~44% of women voted for Trump. Around 55% of men. So women hate themselves almost as much apparently.

And she was right. Not me but you all. We were all rooting for Kamala this side of the Atlantic

Sorry didn’t really mean that, but hope you understand the sentiment

[–] vxx@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

I'm from Germany and she is too.

It looks bleak and we will follow America's lead. I don't think we can point fingers at anyone from over here. Just listen to the people speak around you.

[–] intensely_human@lemm.ee -3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

So “men hate women” huh? Is this something she believes of all men? I wonder what her response to an entire sex hating another entire sex is. I wonder if that belief of her colors all her interpretations of all men.

[–] vxx@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago

Obviously not, since she is a friend of mine and felt comfortable enough to tell me.

She didn't say all men so stop your bullshit victim complex from rotting away your mind

I'm so fed up with assholes like you.

[–] ipkpjersi@lemmy.ml 1 points 4 days ago

Maybe it's what the rest of the world thinks because it's true?

Damn, even the Taliban is clowning on us with this one.

[–] intensely_human@lemm.ee -2 points 4 days ago

Should have run Tulsi Gabbard.

I’m sure the response would have been identical though, given this is about sex and not Kamala Harris’s appeal as a candidate.

[–] Texas_Hangover@sh.itjust.works 36 points 5 days ago (3 children)

These are the people that just made it illegal for women to talk to each other, right?

Sucks that America is so shitty now that I can go "Hah! Yeah" to something the cunty-ass taliban said. Should not be possible.

[–] slaacaa@lemmy.world 32 points 5 days ago

Y’all Queda

I’m deeply confused as to why they have any statement…

And why they think the US is sexist

And why they seem to selectively think sexism is bad while denying women education

And why this is news or worthy of print.

And for gods sakes won’t someone tell me what Ja rule thinks of this?????

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 46 points 5 days ago (2 children)

And why they seem to selectively think sexism is bad while denying women education

That's not what they're saying. They're mocking American hypocrisy.

they wouldve been even more derisively vitriolic if she had won

[–] OceanSoap@lemmy.ml 1 points 4 days ago

If Tulsi Gabbard had been allowed to run, I'd have 100% voted for her. Kamala Harris is not the type of woman I want for president. If she were to be the first woman president, we'd never have a woman president again, because everyone would be so put off by her

[–] Lettuceeatlettuce@lemmy.ml 1 points 4 days ago

Hey Taliban, have you tried Fumunda cheese? It's pretty flavorful.
