The big reveal from this and from Framework's website today:

AMD Radeon™ RX 7700S, the Graphics Module contains 8GB of GDDR6 memory, 32 compute units, 100W TGP, and 2x 75mm x 11.5mm Cooler Master fans. Increases the thickness of the rear section to 21.95mm

So it's an underclocked RX 7600? Interesting choice.

I don't like the naming. Mobile 7600 XT is also an underclocked 7600 but at a higher TDP.

To be fair, I see mobile chips being optimistically renamed desktop counterparts on both sides of the GPU alley... But I do dislike this practice a lot.

While Radeon is good, I hope they will offer a Nvidia option later on or some third-party manufacturers will step in and bake modular GPUs for Framework 16. Though I know the chance is slim given how bitchy Nvidia has been.

Would be wild to have Intel Arc Battlemage as an option to slot in there.

I really hope that some of those interfaces (keyboard, expansion cards, expansion bay) will become standards used by multiple companies together investing in a common platform. Btw I’m really happy with my framework laptop :)
