Is a video really the best format for this information?

[–] rowdyrockets@lemmy.world 30 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I agree with your rhetorical. I’m less inclined to believe content that’s so clearly made to push ad revenue rather than provide information.

I didn’t watch the video - but here’s the TLDR: Firefox. LibreWolf if you want the best and are slightly more technically inclined.

For those who are interested in Firefox but dislike Mozilla/got hurt by them in both of their past addon fiascos I recommend Waterfox instead.

The developer of the fork Waterfox is cool and actually gives options/warn users of major changes, I wish I had found Waterfox before Firefox wiped all my classic add-ons and then later the certificates+configs.

I looked into WaterFox, but they were bought by an Ad company (System1) a few years back. Because if this, I steered away and found LibreWolf.

They announced a few weeks ago that they've gone back to being independent. (link)

Oh nice! Good for them

@GregoryTheGreat @BarterClub

I hate video when a written article does the job, SO MUCH.

Like if you're showing me how to fix something in my car fine video. Discussing one web browser versus another? Text all the way.

I'm not going to watch the video in this post for that reason.

Here is an alternative Piped link(s): https://piped.video/watch?v=_JNg4Ox2Hvc

Piped is a privacy-respecting open-source alternative frontend to YouTube.

I'm open-source, check me out at GitHub.

For sure it is not chrome.

In the end Firefox always wins on this
