Based on what looks like the shadow from sunlight on the wall, I'm going with he's having a late brunch. Don't judge the man. I think that may be the breakfast he had on launch day. I read the book that Michael Collins wrote (highly recommended) and what's on that plate matches my memory.
Looking at it, I might try to make this breakfast for dinner this week...
Carrying the Fire! Awesome book - I read it a few years ago. Collins always added a wonderful perspective.
That breakfast is pretty killer though. I see that and I want to grow up to be an astronaut too.
