I used reddit pretty much exclusively on my phone through the Boost app. When that went dark, I didn't really feel the need to go out of my way to download a far worse app, so I stopped checking reddit.

Yeah, there are a few subs that haven't made the transition.
Yeah, unfortunately. I'm trying to switch over fully but there's still some subreddits that I can't replicate on Lemmy. I'll be off once I get alternatives to all the snake, big cat, and bird subs that I use to look at cool animals, though. iNaturalist just isn't as browsable.
I do, but not nearly as much. Probably spend about half the time if not less then before Apollo went down. Opening up GitHub to check on Voyager updates probably as often as I am opening up Reddit.
Not since July 1stβ¦. For a few days I was refreshing google and yahoo news habitually but so glad I finally found lemmy
Sometimes. I'm very active on Reddit before the Reddit API change. I have moved to Lemmy since. Since Reddit is blocked in Indonesia, I usually use it as a secondary platform. I just checked it once in a while when using a VPN or using DNS-on-HTTPS.
I only troll and break the terms of service on Reddit now
That's so easy to do. I got perma banned because I commented "at least you're not reddited" on a post where op said they were ok being called r-word because of their disability.
I posted "beat his ass anyway" to a fiight video and got mega purged.
I'm trying to stay away and I do feel like there is a reasonable chance I might be able to.
I recently subscribed to a Lemmy "self-hosted" and "asklemmy" group and content is starting to trickle in real good.
Mostly I feel it's a matter of consolidating Lemmy groups with the same topics into super-groups. This should help with general useability as well as making things more friendly for people moving over from Reddit.
Federation support for other Fediverse products towards Lemmy also will need some work still.
Nah
I haven't posted in years, but there is still so much content there. Now though without my favourite app (Joey) I probably will go there less. Even less when they disable old.reddit.com.
Scrammed and deleted all comments and got accounts banned [for saying fuck u/spez].
I only lurk a few places that don't exist here in a meaningful way. Discovery is harder here and desktop socks without RES.
Yes. But instead of spending ever free minute on it I'll only check it once or maybe twice a day.
Most communities I cared about feel less lively. Except for maybe two or three.
Yes, only for fap purposes.
I go there through Tedit sometimes when info I need comes up in a search, but I haven't logged in or browsed the site directly since the API protest blackout.
Weird how I seem to have more free time now. Must be a coincidence.
Someone linked mlmym.org
which mimics oldreddit... I feel at home now.
I go back to check hometown sub once or twice a day. if I go to the front page, I only make it through about half before I realize what I'm doing and switch. Quite honestly, it feels poisonous. Whatever algorithm they have my brain has decided it can live without.
No, I do not. Except when I'm looking for something and reddit is the only place where I can find my answers. But that rarely happens.
Yes, but when I go to my multireddits, it's a barren desert of absolute n00bs asking questions that can be googled in five seconds. Makes me really miss what it used to be. I hope Lemmy gets more engagement.
I have pretty much stopped.
Itβs not usable on my phone and now searches are basically buggered with a number of subreddits being nsfw. So for example I was searching something specific to pop_os and canβt view the thread. Just closed it. Will block Reddit returns in Kagi now most likely.
I think there may have been a day or two where I looked at it for a few minutes in the browser at work over the past couple of weeks.
I deleted my account so I can't post anymore but I sometimes go there for the occasional answer.
Only in read only mode.
Only the NSFW content, I got everything else here.
There's a few things that I follow that do have communities here, but little to no engagement in those communities. I'll occasionally get on to look at those subreddits for updates, but I don't have an account anymore so I don't log in and I don't engage with the communities. I also use RES so they don't get any of my advertising revenue. Someone had linked a read only Reddit client before but I can't remember what it was, If anyone does remember let me know so I can switch to that.
Reddit is my place to check on news about the ongoing war. For some reason it wasn't banned in r*ssia and is availiable without vpns. Lots of exiles from other places joined subreddits there.
I don't feel like this blogosphere would move into fediverse. Occasionally, reddit became the right place for this.
I was a joey user. But already had my lemme already set up for this day. I might use reddit just to track the events of the Ukraine war and some stable diffusion stuff. But most of that discord and telegram can be used instead.
Maybe occasionally subredditdrama to see the meltdowns happening. For now I'm trying to see which lemmy app I like best. Right now connect seems to be the one I am using most.
Not completely, there are still some niche, non-technical communities that are probably never going to switch. I hope at some point they do, but still go once in a while to check. I donβt go daily like I used to, mostly do lemmy daily since the apps are getting so good now.
Nope, and I even stop searching for episode discussions on TV shows because most of it is on reddit.
Only when I search for something and there is a result from reddit, I read that and only that one. Otherwise, no.
I do. But only when I absolutely need to. I kind of miss the uk motorbike dub. But, eh, that's just life.
If I do need to use it. I go firefox with ghostery, and Ublock origin. But that's only because, if I search for a problem, reddit usually has it. If it asks me to use the mobile app, then, I can always just tell Firefox to use the desktop site, and I haven't had an issue with that yet.
reddit is a source of information. (fact).
but i logged out and will not be going back.
Fuck no
There are just two subs I check about once every two days, but I'm yet to log in again after I disconnected my account last month. I used to only visit it through Libreddit as the UX is better anyway but now that one's gone too...
Went back for like a day after my main amount on v.lemmy went down with the server.
After a day I couldnβt stomach it anymore. Reddit All is just a bunch of warzone footage or clickbait news.
I created a new main on a new Lemmy server and am loving being here.
I purged my comments and deleted my main account on July 1st, which was surprisingly emotional for me. I use Alien Blue on mobile, which still works so far, but now that my main account is logged out, I'll never be able to log another account in because authentication has been broken in Alien Blue for a while.
I'm keeping Alien Blue installed for two reasons: one, for checking on a friend who only posts updates on reddit, and two, I read r/games a couple times a week for headlines and discussion. Lemmy just doesn't have the same level of engagement or discussion as r/games; even though there's a certain brand of insufferable commenters there, the majority of people post thoughtful comments that are more than one or two sentences long and those are the kinds of threads I like reading. Lemmy threads seem to be more shallow; lots of replies to the parent, but very few threads that go more than one or two comments deep.
