One thing I miss about r/science is coming to the comments for stuff like this to see it immediately debunked by someone smarter than me. I hope this is not bullshit, but after many years of seeing these science journalism articles, I immediately assume it absolutely is bullshit

This is exactly it. The hope is real, but usually fleeting. Come on experts, get over here and tell us if this is bullshit, please. It has to be, right? I’m talking commercial over the counter option, tube of toothpaste, a few minty applications and bam! Strong-ass teeth. This article makes all that seem plausible.

Look, feel your pain (I'm serious, I'm in the middle of a couple of root canals) but the solution isn't just technology. You need a public health framework to drive down the price gouging.
