Could it be High Park in Toronto? I was just there yesterday and saw a Great Egret much like this one (also a Green Heron and a couple of beavers).

You'll like this OP! There's a monster flock of these guys at the swamp down the road. This video doesn't do justice as maybe 60-70% took flight as I got closer. LOL, smelled like a hen house under those trees!

They're easily startled but always wheel around and come back to the same spot. It's like watching WWII videos where an insane number of bombers are rolling.
