I used the spoiler tag and it works in the browser/website but not in the webapp. Hopefully it can be added in the near future.

I don’t know why Lemmy decided to implement custom-rolled spoiler markup when there are already standardized spoiler formats. It’s very annoying.

It'd also be nice if it was blocked out text rather than a spoiler unfold or whatever it's called

I haven't tried in a post, but they don't work in comments on the app. Example

Can you edit your post to check? That also doesn't look like normal spoiler markdown

So I couldn't add a spoiler to the post title but it did work in the post description text. On web, going to check the app next.

Edit: spoiler tags are not working in the post description either
