There is zero chance Trump's net worth is 2 billion

[–] disguy_ovahea@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Right. He’d have had no problem getting the half million dollar bond if it were only 1/4000th of his net worth.

His stake in his awful social media platform is worth an absurd amount currently, but as far as everything else I assume he barely owns any of it or it’s weighed out by debts. I mean the dude is trying to sling bibles, shoes and NFTs.

You even read the article linked? It just says nobody knows because of self-reporting.

He also fucking lied on all of the shit he self-reported by OVER INFLATING the value.

You another cheeto emperor simp?

You another cheeto emperor simp?

God damn, people always jump to this. You remember what the post is about, right? How these people are our class enemies. "He's actually even more of a billionaire" is not praise in this context.

[–] Confidant6198@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 month ago

They said that they are not sure of the exact amount, but they estimate that he is a multi billionaire

Current estimates of Donald Trump's wealth puts the former President's net worth at around $4.5 billion.

However, Trump's net worth is a highly disputed and volatile figure. Estimates from around $2 billion to more than $ 6 billion to around $7.5 billion.

I recall he claimed that he didn't have much money at all in court. Let's assume the legal proceedings are more likely to be true.

Do you have the clip?

Doug Burgum owns like 70% of the city of Fargo, not directly but through a board of trustees or some other rich guy shit that makes it look like he doesn't. I don't live there anymore, but I still get triggered every time I see his name. Fuck Doug Burgum and fuck the entire shit hole state of North Dakota.

Why isn't Michael Bloomberg on here? He's worth more than all these combined.

[–] GarbageShootAlt2@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 month ago

I think it's only people who are either in office or running for office, not former pols that happen to have not died yet. I don't know all these people though, so I might be wrong.

I would think Betsy DeVos should be on there too.

Every single one of them have no business in politics.

Every decision they make revolves around their own personal wealth. They all need to be removed.

Any rich person who goes into politics is, by definition, a fail child. Politicians are who the actually rich employ to give them power, but they aren't stupid enough to take the reigns themselves.

And yea yea Trump, but if you don't already realize he is a bit of an anomaly, I don't know what to tell you. Also the very definition of a fail son, only overshadowed in that capacity by his own kids.

I'll admit that pritzker has done well for us in Illinois. That said, when the revolution comes... Well you know the rest.

I want to tour the Greenbrier so much, but the asshat Jimbo owns it. Well, maybe not for loooong.
