Although I love Danny Ric, I find this hard to believe. I believe he is far better than the McLaren stint made him look, but is he that good? Time will tell.

Ha was better than Vettel and good enough to battle a young and learning Verstappen. He'll be good enough

Hmm if that's true he would have been seriously ragging the car around on the limit, which I can't believe RB would risk in a test session. Sounds like RB are leaking tall tales to the press to mount pressure on a certain driver.

Or simply the track conditions could have been very different

Sounds almost more like wishful thinking than rumors. But it would lead credence to the abrupt driver swap announced today.

If Daniel was able to drop in a car after being absent for like 9 months and put down competitive times; then I understand Red Bull not wanting to waste any time. Horner probably wants a relaxing summer break with next year's lineup Locked in.
