Can't wait for it too π
Same switched to K-9 some monthes ago to get thunderbird, but it still hasn't happend.
The layout change is awesome! The old ΓΆayout was really meant for 4:3 screens with lots of vertical height. It was uncomfortable to use on 16:9 screens in my opinion.
It really does look great. Maybe itβs time to revisit a desktop client.
Is there a way to get Thunderbird to use Markdown for message formatting? I haven't been able to find any email client that can do it and it would get me to switch in a heartbeat
If I had to guess, this functionality would only be available through an extension.
I gave it a quick search and there seem to be a lot of options. I've never tried any of them, but downloading thunderbird and seeing if any of those meet your needs would be a good starting point.
My company uses Gmail, and I have a Mac at work, so I'm currently using the default Mail app, which I really don't like. I've tried Thunderbird so many times in the past and always found it just a bit too hard to use smoothly, so I am super excited to install Thunderbird again tomorrow and see the improvements.
It looks nice. I haven't used an email client in years, but I might give this a try.
Iβve wanted so hard to switch to thunderbird completely. My email is outlook and has the Authenticator set up for login, which has caused me issues adding my inbox. I found an add on but it had a few that I think was monthly.
Would app passwords work?
When it gets to signing in it fails and when I set it up with exchange it wants a paid add on. I think it had something to do with an owl. It was a couple months ago.
Awesome!
Very nice. Might just give it a try. Just tried KMail and while it works, this looks a lot better.
I like new design. Finally TB entered modern era with conversations etc.
For Linux people who don't want to deal with tar install and setting up *.desktop
, you can use python script here https://github.com/fromSmolsoft/tb_install and install it automatically from official sources. It worked for me on Mint xfce.
The last update for pre 10 windows systems.
It looks like a mailspring copy paste interface
The only thing the same is the layout, and I don't think mailspring owns the layout of Options -> Emails -> Open Emails. In fact in my experience, thats the most common layout for email clients to use on desktop devices.
