I experience that my memory is used up on my android phone, but I dont understand what drains the memory.

I only found AnotherMonitor on fdroid, but it doesnt appear to show which app is consuming memory. Only total consumption.

Are there any good apps or solutions for this? Or at least as autonomous slash private as possible.

Was this actually posted a year ago or is lemmy having issues showing correct post dates?

It's actually a year old. Sorting by hot has some weird problems. The devs partially fixed it, but as you can see, it still doesn't work as intended from time to time.

Most people just sort by Top > Day or Active.

Im going to check it out, but it shouldnt be that hacky to figure out something so essential.

Pretty easy actually. Just click Build Number a bunch of times and you will get a notice that you've enabled Developer Options. Then search Memory.

From what I know Android doesn't let full knowledge of the processes running on the device. In my case as I was getting desparate I just factory resetted it and its much better now.
