Maybe I don’t understand it as well as I thought, but other apps allow me to have 2FA and stay signed in without having to use a code constantly.

Currently, the Memmy app is forcing me to re enter a code every time I come back to the app after a little time of not using it (e.g., turn off my phone screen for 5 minutes).

Is this a bug?

I ran into the same issue and ended up disabling it for now. I know it’s not as secure, but sheesh.

Ok, I’m glad I’m not the only one then. Thanks for confirming I’m not crazy.

Same here. I've noticed that even after doing that, I need to sign back in every time I reopen the app. I'm guessing it's something to do with the hotfix my insurance pushed out last night due to all the xss attacks, but don't know for sure.

Yeah, I actually just started running into that too. Just randomly logged out. I sent a bug report to the dev.

Using the app store version I am NOT seeing this issue.

Weird because that’s what I’m using

Maybe it is something your instance is doing?

Lemmy 2fa seems kind of buggy in general. I’m waiting a bit to use it.

(Of course huge random passwords anyway)
