I absolutely love Ted Lasso; it's my absolute favorite show. But...this does not sound good. The 3 seasons they created are special and really well done. For them to come back, after they wrote and told their cohesive story, feels like it won't end well.

The episode where Coach Beard goes on a crazy pub crawl and has misadventures was one of the finest episodes of television I have ever seen.

Oh wow, actually my least favourite episode. It just felt so pointless

The duality of Man...

honestly I think they missed the point of why the show was popular. People are in desperate need of a well written positive and hopeful show. It had people that were likeable and they helped each other. That is missing from most TV. Most of TV today is ether melodrama like really TV or dystopian mystery boxes with no payoff.

It was well received but this kind of stuff is usually a mistake. Personally I didn't like it, sometime around second season I lost interest because it just felt boring to watch.

It made me feel like I was watching old episodes of Full House with how sappy it got.

Especially season 3!

I agree, it got too cheesy and predictable since everything was so focused on feelgood moments.

[–] RootBeerGuy@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 4 months ago

Yes, I didn't want to call it predictable in my post but that's exactly the feeling I had.

Awful, guess that's what happens when you fail to create another show with as much attention to get subscribers to profit from. Adding new content because the company demands it is the worst content to be created.

Cashing in Coach Walz?

Nope. Let it go.

After the show ended I canceled my Apple TV. That proved to be the most challenging mess of codes and passwords and email addresses and more codes; and the website was spectacularly circular.

I do not at this point intend to sign up for Apple again. I do not like their phones but I do have earbuds; and that is not enough allegiance to suffer that website again.

In short, I'll never see s4 if they release it. And I'm sad, but it's okay.

I don't have an Apple phone or computer and after about an hour of getting nowhere, iTunes crashing 900 times, and infuriating bullshit I just deleted my Apple account.
