alt text two soldiers in gas masks (full face respirators) rest in a bombed out city, with poisonous air from a nuclear war surrounding them they wear gas masks.

soldier 1: do you know the meaning of this war?

soldier 2: hmm?

soldier 1: i mean... what's the point it can't be for the land because everything is burned, bombed or polluted. it can't be for the money because there is anything left to spend it on. so what is it? religion? why do we fight?

soldier 2: to win the war.

soldier 1: meh... works for me.

You have got to respect them for coming this far despite wearing uniforms made up of targets

It's actually a decoy target on the helmet, their heads have evolved to be much flatter at the top due to less brainpower usage requiring less space in the cranium.

Since they are Amerikkkans they fight to protect their ruling class and its ability to exploit them, although they are told it is to "protect the country".

I read a lot of that comic just now. My review is that the art is great but the characters leave a lot to be desired. I like the setting.

The art is good, it feels like alot of filler, i agree with more feeling to be desired. The comic is theme around the whole "war can be boring" so i imagine it's more themed for stuff like generation kill, casual boring day to day shit during a war - but eh.

i found the one where the dude dropping a rock on a blue soldier way back when funny when i was younger. it's a certain type of humour, wasn't so amusing to me rereading it now.

It is a shame that the author of the comic removed (most? all?) Green panels from the online version in favour of a book.
