Still like wefwef better though. Cannot be removed from app stores if some regulation comes along.

[–] meldrik@lemmy.wtf 22 points 1 year ago (4 children)

True that! But wefwef is unfortunately a little finicky on my phone. Sometimes scrolling doesn't respond at all :(

[–] NeilH@lemmy.world 17 points 1 year ago

That's a bug with safari unfortunately. The trick is to not touch anything for a few seconds then try scrolling again. If you try scrolling too quickly you reset the "counter" though

[–] mriguy@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

The devs mentioned that in one of the release notes. They say it’s due to a bug in WebKit. If you touch nothing for a second or two it will unfreeze.

[–] wildn0x@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

I get a horrible flicker issue with wefwef. Requires me to close and reopen a few times to get it working right. Still using Jerboa mostly since it's basic and functions enough.

[–] Nks@programming.dev 4 points 1 year ago

That’s my biggest gripe with wefwef

[–] alexius@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

I’m just happy to continue using the muscle memory from Apollo.

[–] cornbread@lemm.ee 19 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I have way more bugs on Memmy. I can’t even reply to most comments in that app for some reason. Wefwef can be a little finicky but smoother overall for me.

[–] ebits21@lemmy.ca 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You can’t reply to comments? You swipe to reply. I have no issues replying on any version of it.

[–] cornbread@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah, it doesn’t work a lot of the time. It also let me log in but says I don’t subscribe to any communities (which is wrong) and doesn’t show many any communities when I use search.

[–] ebits21@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The dev is about to release a new ‘slider’ for when you slide to reply because it had issues.

The lack of communities is apparently a lemmy issue despite working in wefwef. Dev looked into it apparently. Something about the api they are using. Only affecting certain instances.

They’re developing very fast hence the bugs. They do fix quickly too though. Im trying to submit as many bugs to them on GitHub as possible.

i've used a couple of apps but i find jerboa is the best so far. the bugs i encountered were as a result of me being part of a large instance rather than the app itself.

[–] Marxine@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Same here, it's also really snappy for me.

Patiently waiting for savior Boost for Lemmy

[–] void_hunter@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (2 children)

same. did you retain boost after July 1? it somehow still works for reddit (not that I'm using reddit at all, just kept it out of curiosity). I loved their new material design and am so excited for the lemmy app.

[–] Norgrimm@feddit.de 3 points 1 year ago

It worked until today, so now I'm waiting for the Lemmy version

[–] skomposzczet@vlemmy.net 3 points 1 year ago

Yeah I did, I don't know why it kept working but it eventually stopped today. Didn't really care as same as you I only kept if out of curiosity and for all times sake. Might finally uninstall when Lemmy version will come out.

[–] mrmanager@lemmy.today 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It's really cool we have so many clients, and more are on the way. :)

[–] meldrik@lemmy.wtf 4 points 1 year ago

Yes, it’s amazing we have so many awesome developers!

[–] supermurs@lemm.ee 8 points 1 year ago

I prefer Memmy to others at the moment.

[–] BeardyGrumps@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Memmy for mobile Wefwef for desktop

Best of both worlds!

[–] lemminer@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Liftoff is nice. I have no complaints as of yet.

[–] badnew@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 year ago

Tried and liked both but wefwef is nicer IMHO

[–] bronzing@lemmy.fmhy.ml 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I’m surprised there aren’t many people talking about Mlem. It’s far from perfect and it still misses some basic features (such as a full screen image viewer lol) but I find it to be the prettiest and most intuitive of the bunch.

[–] tht7@programming.dev 1 points 1 year ago

Aww thanks man! Alsoooo I promise we’re working on it https://github.com/mlemgroup/mlem/pull/171

[–] mrpaw69@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I only found Memmy on AppStore(im in Russian region). Is Wefwef not available in russia?

[–] JaddedFauceet@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Wefwef.app is a web client

[–] mrpaw69@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Ah, okay then

[–] SeatBeeSate@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Is there apk builds yet?

[–] latewizard@lemmy.one 4 points 1 year ago

I’m preferring Memmy right now, but I’m keeping Mlem and wefwef on my home screen to see how they keep up.

[–] Cheb@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You all just need to wait for sync fir lemmy

[–] fugepe@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] peppy@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Sync for Lemmy like there was Sync for Reddit.

[–] CraizzUK@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 year ago

I was a boost user. What's Sync got going for it? Using Connect at the moment

[–] MsPenguinette@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I’ll switch to Memmy once I can respond to comments

[–] BeardyGrumps@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You can respond to comments. Swipe the comment from right to left.

For upvotes swipe from left to right.

Yeah I had to ask also...

[–] MsPenguinette@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Well bugger me sideways and call me a good girl, it worked! Thanks!!

They def need to add it the the triple dot menu

[–] LegendofZelda64@lemmy.fmhy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

You're a very good girl

[–] BeardyGrumps@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Good girl... :o)

[–] meldrik@lemmy.wtf 1 points 1 year ago

Wefwef is a progressive app and Memmy is a native app for Lemmy.

[–] rDrDr@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago
[–] cocolopez@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Currently running Jerboa, liftoff and thunder. Would love to check memmy but couldn't find an APK last time I check the GitHub page, I'm not compiling it myself. I love Jerboa, but recently has been a bit buggy. Liftoff is nice, although I would like to see some changes.

[–] LunchEnjoyer@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] cocolopez@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Android too, but you need to compile it. No apks published.

[–] Awall@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

I thought the update for Jerboa today cleared up a lot of the bugs and really improved the interface. It got really buggy and laggy for a while but I haven't had any issues today at all. I'm really impressed

[–] Sev@feddit.uk 2 points 1 year ago

I can’t seem to block communities in wefwef?
