And we have liftoff. ;)
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Welcome to !reddit. This is a community for all news and discussions about Reddit.
The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:
Rule 1- No brigading.
**You may not encourage brigading any communities or subreddits in any way. **
YSKs are about self-improvement on how to do things.
Rule 2- No illegal or NSFW or gore content.
**No illegal or NSFW or gore content. **
Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.
Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.
Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.
That's it.
Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.
Posts and comments which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.
Rule 6- Regarding META posts.
Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-Reddit posts using the [META] tag on your post title.
Rule 7- You can't harass or disturb other members.
If you vocally harass or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.
Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.
Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.
Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.
Let everyone have their own content.
:::spoiler Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here.
And we have liftoff. ;)
Sorry, couldn't resist.
I like what you did there
Boost died for me at 7PM EDT on 6/30, along with the rest of Reddit. Apparently, Reddit was incompetent with disabling everything, so it (along with other 3rd party app) still worked for some people if you were not logged in.
Same here. Intermittent. I firmly just moved over to lemmy, after a phased entrance.
I have found Liftoff for Lemmy a good alternative, until boost for lemmy comes live.
Liftoff is my go to at the minute although I'm posting this from wefwef because it's easier to see replies on there.
With time though all the apps will be great in their own ways.
If you didn't know, they are actively working on a Lemmy app.
Same here, just uninstalled it. Jerboa and thunder are my lemmy apps, i will miss a niche sub but i will probably forget about it in few weeks.
I was a redditor since 2012, nothing last forever.
Long live Lemmy
I miss the niche subs I was a part of, I recreated them on Lemmy and hopefully they can gain some traction, I loved the discussions on those subs and I hope I can have the same experience on Lemmy. If not, life goes on.
guess it's time to fully switch to lemmy! hopefully boost for lemmy gets released soon
It was fun. I had great moments but now I have to close my account. Even my second account.
I shall miss boost for reddit
Still works for me
Odd. Mines still working. NSFW subs don't load but normal content from a logged in account does.
Mine died a couple hours ago.
I looked, and it was working, and two minutes later it was gone.
It's kind of inconsistent for me. My only theory, based on something I saw on r/BoostForReddit, is that I'm still marked as a mod for an inactive sub. My alt doesn't load anything.
I still have access to nsfw with ReVanced Sync. But afaik im not mod anywhere.
I am only running through official, not revanced. Probably won't bother with that tbh. But good to know that those that want to use that patch can successfully, at least for now.
