I'm a Batman fan. I know it's a boring answer these days, but I've always enjoyed the detective work and stealth approach to the fights.
I'm sure most people have heard all the reasons from other fans before, but I stand by them.
A place to discuss comic books of all types, from old to new, Big 2 to indie, and everything in between.
Floppies, graphic novels, compilations, omnibusses (omnibusi?) are all fair game.
There is only one rule:*
Comic Books is a no judgement zone.
You can talk all you want about how Rob Liefeld is trash, Bob Kane is an asshole, or Frank Miller and Dave Sim’s politics have made them toxic, that’s all good.
If, however, another user is LEGITIMATELY a fan of something you don’t like, that does NOT make them a lesser person. Attack the art for being bad, not the person for being a fan of bad art.
* I lied. There are TWO rules... No piracy. Cover shots? That's good. Interior pages, in moderation? Sure. Full books? Links to pirate sites? That's how we get things shut down. :(
I'm not saying it's been a problem, because it hasn't been.

I've been a Batman fan since 72-73 (yeah, I'm old) and I don't think it's a boring answer. It's the right answer.
...but if I had to choose, then Flash.
Superman hands down. He's the character that got me into comics. Growing up I wore out the VHS copies of the Christopher Reeve movies.
So when are you moving to Cleveland?
Hmmm, I was thinking of moving to New England, but now...
You could even go to the school where Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster went to school, and drew the first superman pages.
I mean, school staff would be like "Sir, why are you here??? You're a 45 year old man, and this is a high school! We're going to have to ask you to leave."
And you'd be like "So THIS is where it all began...."
Now I actually wonder if they have this issue often. We have a 6'5 statue of superman in our lobby. And not like a bronze statue. This is full color. But they fucked up the S on his chest.
I would say Bane. Specifically the version from the HBO Max series "Harley Quinn". He's just loveable, even when he gets 50 feet tall and fucks a building.
Haha. I guess I need to check that series out.
Just know that even though these are the same characters, they're NOT the characters you know them as. They're more like absurdist mockeries of the characters you know.
Doctor Mid-Nite. He’s a doctor! He’s blind but sees in the dark! He’s got an owl! Love it.
Easily The Flash. I love how stupid the speed force is.
Jack Knight Starman
Good call.
The Scrambler.
I had a friend trying to get me into comic books in the late 80s. I bought a Daredevil at the grocery and it was ok. Then he finally got me to go to his comic store with him. I was so "ho hum, sure that's cool. I'm my complete boredom I wandered the store a bit and stumbled upon Green Arrow #17. I have never looked back. Mike Grell and the Green Arrow were what got me invested in comic books, and to this day GA is my fave.
Batman is my #1, but The Flash is solid 2nd place
Flash. “To the Nth Degree” is my favourite Flash story of all time.
