@android How to replace location services provided by google without root?
I want to disable google play services for obvious reasons. Ntfy is working fine for me so no issue with push notifications. But GPS is incredibly slow how to replace location functions provided by google (without root)?

I don't think you can. You can only stop internet connections made by Google with the RethinkDNS app (or similar). Changing the location service usually requires flashing a different OS like GrapheneOS.

Worth noting that GrapheneOS is not rooted by default. So it does satisfy that requirement.

But yeah, I don't think you can do this on stock Android without root. Not sure how it works on other non-rooted ROMs like LineageOS.

Edit: I think I misread your comment.

~~GrapheneOS uses its own privacy focused location service. There is no need for root privileges. https://eylenburg.github.io/android_comparison.htm~~
