I have an account on beehaw.

lemmy.ca is federated with beehaw, both way.

I subscribed to !quebec@lemmy.ca and created a post, from beehaw. I can see my post here:

Synchronization between instances doesn't work properly and sometimes comments and even whole threads get lost, it is not a beehaw specific issue.

ok, but isn't this the federation principle? If this does not work, all this fediverse is clunky useless?

the number of Lemmy users has skyrocketed in a short amount of time, so lots of bugs are being exposed that weren't known before. even so, the dev is stretched thin, so it'll take a bit of time before the little things like this get ironed out once more people start contributing and stuff like that
