Good luck, Australia!

Apple weather for me shows a 30% chance of thunderstorms every day, and it hasn’t rained in a couple of weeks.

I got that for a while too - very bizarre. Like, chance of thunderstorms when the forecast had no clouds.

I just noticed this a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised! It’s replaced Rain Parrot for me and it’s more accurate. It’s better than the regular weather forecast strangely enough.

Rain Parrot has been great but a bit over enthusiastic recently. I'll give this a crack.

It’s too bad apple weather has been dog shit, just like Siri. It’s like they acquired dark sky then fired all the devs for the applet. Same with Siri. Did they fire all the Siri devs and just stop giving a fuck?

Weather notifications be like:

Apple weather is always wrong where I live. It’s so bad that the Siri team had to change her phrasing to “I don’t think it will” or “it might” instead of “It won’t”. Right now I’m more accurate by just looking out of the window and guessing.

Same. The amount of times where I've looked outside to see it rain heavily while the weather app is like "yeah 0% chance for the entire day bro, can't be" is through the roof.

I'm a huge fan of Apple's default apps. Weather is definitely not one of them.

I’m not defending apple here as apple weather has shown thunderstorms for months for me when it has been nothing but hot or hotter. But modeling weather is had and depending on where you are different models are better than others. The downside with apple weather is they only have one source.

And to those that say dark sky was better it was t dir me. It was wrong more than it was right for me.

This only works in the US, it find which weather source is more accurate, then look for their app or a 3rd party that uses them.

Hope it works better there than here
