The dog says nothing.
Because the dog ain't no snitch
The dog is also autistic
That's why he has such a sensitive sense of smell
He also likes routine, having a firm sense of right and wrong, will eat the same thing every day forever, and had to be specifically trained to make eye contact!
Who'd have thought that a condition where one of the symptoms is having a restricted diet could result in a difference in gut chemistry?
“Our microbiome biomarker panel has a high performance in children under the age of four, which may help facilitate an early diagnosis.”
"Under the age of four" would indicate this test would be completed before dietary restrictions were put in place (except for those on far end of the spectrum who can often be diagnosed that young).
Autism has dietary restrictions? First time I've heard that.
Due to hypersensitivity, some autistic people have trouble eating certain foods; that's what I meant. Probably could have phrased it better.
Only some. I’m autistic and don’t have any problems with hypersensitivity to food.
However, GI issues are a very common in autistic people. Differences in microbiome may very well be one of the causes of autism.
That makes more sense, I it sounded a bit like diabetics and carbs.
I can't eat beef or pork unless it's ground up (burgers, sausages, etc) because it sits like a rock in my stomach for hours and hurts like hell. I eat mostly chicken and veggies to avoid that.
But not everyone has restrictions.
As someone who has to provide them annually, there isn't anything routine about a stool sample.
I find providing a stool sample far less painful and annoying than having a PAP smear.
Lol, well you got me there. I've never had to do a pap smear since I don't have the equipment to smear (or is it pap?).
Yes, it's pap ... short for Papanicolaou test, named after the Greek physician Georgios Papanikolaou who 'invented' the test.
Not to be confused with Pat Smear, guitarist for Foo Fighters and The Germs.
Also, not to be confused with a pap schmear which goes great on a bagel and was introduced to the world by Avi Applebaum in 1926.
'Papa?' 'Nicole?'
Wouldn't that mean it's a smear? Like, the Turing test is a test, not a Turing.
No shit?
Nah, need shit.
[Cologuard anthropomorphized box appears and demands your poopies]
A stool sample? Well I guess I could break the back off one of the kitchen chairs but I don't see how that's going to help.
So where can I send a sample now?
