Even best case scenario, it won't be straight to jail.

With crimes like this, typically they are sentenced, then instructed to report to prison on a specific date. They're usually given some time to settle affairs before going to the clink.

He will never go to jail. He's too "big" and doing so will probably set off the Jan. 6 nut jobs. At best he will get a fine, probation, house arrest, etc. Sad state of affairs in the US. However, if he does get sentenced to go to jail that would be a wonderful surprise.

That’s probably what his lawyers are counting on considering how fucking terrible they are at their job.
