@Remillard and no mention of any action against them except firing them? JFC :(

Yes, apparently firing was 'enough' /s

(Off-Topic: Nice Nickname!)

Jfc that's grim. I get that these kinds of things have gotten less shocking over time since it's all coming to light on a monthly or even weekly basis, but those cops didn't see those men as people at all.

It's fucking monstrous what the police were capable of doing, and I honest-to-god don't think any rehabilitation of their behavior is possible; they don't just deserve to be fired, they should be in jail for life.

Only 'Fired' after shooting someone in the mouth, are you fucking kidding me? These people belong in jail.

The victims are seeking compensation, and rightly so. This reads like a horror story, truely scary.

And they were all totally okay with this until it made national attention. We need to scrap our entire police system and have a do-over.

Bailey’s announcement also follows an Associated Press investigation that found several deputies who were involved with the episode were also linked to at least four violent encounters with Black men since 2019 that left two dead and another with lasting injuries.

And the punishment is losing their job in one singular jurisdiction.

The sadder part is its probably only now. Its not that rare to have cops rehired in the same jurisdiction once the heat dies down and possible be eligible for backpay.

Well of course they won't release the names of the deputies that did this. That would hurt their chances of getting hired the next county over. /s

The /s is out of place here.

Where are the criminal charges? This is beyond horrific.

Glad they are gone.
