A couple posts ago I asked if anyone knew of an archive of old tiled wallpapers. There really weren't any that were curated or easily accessible, so I started one. So far there are over 12k tiles!

Please enjoy.

Additionally, during my searches I found this website. It offers some more crisp, modern options to choose from. Really nice faux-retro stuff.

Nice, looking at it made me feel surprisingly nostalgic. I guess you don't really see tiling backgrounds much anymore. Nice work on the archive too!

https://wallhaven.cc has been awfully quiet since this repo dropped

Any idea how to use a tiled wallpaper on modern smartphones? Android doesn't let you choose, it just stretches the image to the display size.

Daaaamn... You didn't need to and yet you went above and beyond! I'm definitely pulling this! It's awesome.

This post inspired me to go find the tiling wallpapers I made 20 years ago. I almost made a pull request about it, but then decided not to, because it's GitHub. My wallpapers used to be on my own website, and now I'm going to make a Gemini capsule and put them up on that.

Please link them once you've made them available. I'm very interested.

The Gemini capsule is yet to be done, but the wallpapers are available at https://j.agrue.info/wallpapers/

Do you mind if I add them under a subdir, using the name in the copyright header?

Sure, go ahead :)
