Ironic for a country with no free speech rights. But Russia has historically been a scientific powerhouse, especially in mathematics and physics.

Fuck off. This small-minded bullshit is one contributing factor to the rise of despicable systems like the Russian government and many parts of its Putin-supporting society. A blanket reaction against everything Russian dismisses a complexity and common humanity that is crucial for moving beyond petty angry tribalism.
