There is an open feature request about this, you can find it here. It also appears to be on the roadmap, but it is low priority and not currently being worked on. The relevant entry on the roadmap is:
Programmable chat automations / rules (automatic replies/forward/deletion/sending, reminders, etc.).
You can find the roadmap on the main README page. Entries are generally ordered by priority, but if it's a feature you really want, you can help make it, speak up in the related feature request, or reach out to the devs directly through the in app "Send questions and ideas" button. If they see a lot of interest in the scheduling feature, it may be bumped up in priority, though privacy and security related features will generally be the highest priority, followed by critical usability features (like battery optimization right now).
