Don't we have enough building/farming games? The time investment for these types of games is huge. Do people still want more of them?

Not fully related, but I'd like a management game that doesn't require me to be terminally online. I really enjoyed Fallout Shelter until it became obvious that I was expected to play it twenty-four, seven.

And you think the people behind Genshin Impact are going to make an offline game? :D

I agree that a building/farming game shouldn't be always-online, though.

Yeah. Though I believe I've used the phrase "terminally online" wrongly here. What I meant was that game constantly wanted me to check in, sending notifications every hour if not every thirty minutes. It's clear that Bethesda wanted me to play the game constantly.

I do. There's many flavors and not all of them are preferred.. Coral Island is too "Pixar" flavored and that was a massive turn off. Kitara was dull. Sun Haven is very "Mary Sue" feeling in species selection, but the way the time passes is cool. Graveyard Keeper was hard to get into due to the systems. I've yet to play Wylde Flowers, but I dig a magic aspect.

Saying there's enough farming sims is like saying there's enough FPS games or other genres. I like the innovation that's happening in farming sims right now.

But how do they integrate Gacha mechanics into that?

Pull for scantily-clad farmhands.
