Samsung actually makes the display in the pixel fold.
It's tough, there are obvious faults in the first-gen tech, but from a guy with huge hands the z fold series is a complete dealbreaker for me. As terrible as my surface duo is, it is at least an appropriate formfactor for my needs.
Maybe I should wait for the oppo us release?
My fold gets delivered today. Excited to test for myself. The downside of the advanced Samsung features is all the extra crap that comes with it. My biggest concern is battery life. Hopefully it's not as wide a std deviation as they are reporting
In a couple years, it will be something great. Buttery smooth, clean stock Android, kickass cameras, long software support and most importantly, an unlockable bootloader, something no folding phone currently has.
... or how far behind Google is. Google practically abandoned the tablet UI for Android.
I would not bet my money on Google products any more.
Defo no Google hardware. And not so sure their services either, but moving off the Google account universe is a whole lot more involved than replacing a phone handset. Haven't figured that out yet.
Maybe if Google didn’t have such serious commitment issues, they could come up with something that actually sticks.
