Unsure if this the right place to ask, sorry if it's not have just assumed this is for all open source android stuff.

Have been looking at e-os, and read about it being de-googled, which sounds great but I do still need to use some google services (YouTube, yt music, Google SSO etc)

I use 2fa with my Google account and have the pop up for allow/deny when I sign in, think this is the most frictionless 2fa sign in mechanism I've used yet.

Will this still work/be possible using EOS? And/or is there a way to enable select services but not others

For 2FA app you can try Aegis authentificator it is FOSS. Instead of using Google's 2FA.

The yes/no popup requires play services to function so likely your answer is no. As for youtube try out newpipe
