Not a fan of the art style, but I've got a soft spot for wild west media so I'll be keeping an eye.

“Not a fan” is generous imo. That looks like a beta project rushed to production.

I hate that every other game uses the same sets of low poly asset packs but at least they're good quality assets, unsure about this one.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Releasing into Early Access on Steam in 2025 with Native Linux support, developer VowelA recently announced their open-world wild west survival game Forty-Niner.

More: "Begin a journey to the heart of the untamed Wild West during the 1849 Gold Rush.

The game invites you to leave a mark and shape your destiny in a dynamically evolving world."

Craft, Fight, and Explore - From deep underground caves to fast-flowing rivers, gather resources, craft weapons, and defend your territory in a land rich with opportunity.

Solo or Co-op Adventures - Experience the thrill of the Gold Rush alone or join forces with friends, exploring a vast world of endless possibilities.

“The Wild West setting provides a wealth of unique elements that really shine in a survival game, and we’re looking forward to letting players experience life on the frontier with our playable demo later this year!”
