That's great news. How does the updates work across the servers. Are they manual or automatically rolled out?

I am on feddit.uk and it's still on 0.17.4

It's up to the admin of your instance (server).

It will take a while for other instances to upgrade. Many of the are waiting a few days for v0.18.1 which brings a specific type of captcha that works with the HTTP request based of networking which v.0.18 uses.

This is probably it. I only updated because I have registrations disabled. Upgrading was fast and easy, and I’m happy to see the improvements!

Maybe I'm blind but I don't see the sorting options you mention.

If you scroll to the bottom of the page you can see what version your instance is running. This is a feature for v0.18

Yes. I am on v0.18 perhaps I’m dealing with a cache?

Do you have a screenshot?

Are Hot and Active fixed, or is flipping between New and Top still the best way to browse?

[–] UrbenLegend@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 year ago

They seem fixed for me. I am getting much better content with Hot now.

This is great. With the activity we've been getting top>day hasn't been cutting it for me.

When I’m on the home page of lemmy.world on my mobile browser, the feed keeps popping up with new posts. Is this happening you guys too?

[–] BrownPolarBear 2 points 1 year ago

should be fixed when your instance updates to v0.18
