I keep hitting the menu icon instead of the workspace icon when trying to switch to a different workspace.

Yeah yeah...get out your world's smallest violin. I am aware. ๐Ÿ˜œ

You can use custom CSS to move it. You need to enable it in vivaldi://experiments/.
