Voyager has just announced that they support lemmy's spoilers now, so I wondered if this is planned to be included in Boost soon?

The Voyager dev also had this to say:

It was a huge undertaking, involving a few different packages and nearly one hundred unit tests in order to ensure proper parsing logic.

Also, I've published Voyager's spoiler plugin with AGPL-3.0, so any other FOSS lemmy app using Remark for markdown parsing can more easily add spoiler support :)

I'm testing :::cos I was sure it was::: already supported.

Huh. There's a button for it and I'm sure I've clicked spoilers before. I'm confused.

There is, it will slap the format in the comment but boost itself will not display it.

And even if it did, Lemmy spoiler tags are blocks, you can't use them inline with the text.

spoilerHello worlds.

You can click the three dots and open the comment in a browser to see it.

It's dumb and I wish Lemmy Devs implement a better tag like the reddit >!spoiler syntax!<, it's fine and acts like markdown tags should.

Yeah, lemmy's spoiler works more like the one forum have, and while it works and useful in some way, it won't work if i wanna just hide a single word in a wall of text. Hope they add the one from the markdown.
