Lately, I've been using my Steam Deck docked with a keyboard and mouse, but I can't find any keyboard shortcuts that work for bringing up the Steam menu and QAM. I've read that Ctrl + 1 and Ctrl + 2 can do this, but apparently doesn't work in-game...

I know with a controller, you can press home for the steam menu and the home plus the a button for the quick access menu.

I don't know how to access them from a mouse and keyboard though.

Last time I checked Shift+Tab would bring up the overlay in Desktop mode but nothing worked in Gaming mode.

Thanks! Do you know if Desktop mode is less performant than Gaming mode? I suppose I could start using that more while it's docked.

I don't think there's a significant performance difference but I haven't tested it. One difference is that Desktop mode still uses X11 whereas Gaming mode uses Wayland. That can effect some programs but I don't think any games mind which is used.

It's ctrl+1 and ctrl+2, but they only work when the overlay is up (shift-tab).
