Two weeks before they U-turn.
UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
!ukpolitics@lemm.ee appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(
I, unfortunately, don't believe a word they say.
Actions speak louder than words, and these ruling class politicians just say whatever they think will raise their popularity with the peasants this month,
then when elected just carry on the status quo of giving everything we have to their rich mates, stripping us off our rights and taking away our access to the things we need, bit by bit, decade after decade.
It doesn't matter which party they're in, they're all the same :-(
The few who actually care and want to make a difference for the nation rather than consolidate their own classes powerbase are never allowed to reach any true positions of power within any parties. We'll never be given the chance to vote for them :-(
Okay. I think the millions of people lifted out of poverty by the last Labour government would disagree with you.
"Past performance cannot be used to predict future events"
Yet the OP comment is literally using past performance as a 'both sides' argument.
Can't have it both ways.
