The remarks on the eve of the GOP primary echoed those in which he compared himself to the late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

On the eve of the South Carolina primary, Donald Trump made a direct appeal to Black voters, not just by touting his record on issues they’ve prioritized but by comparing his own criminal indictments to the decades of legal discrimination they’ve faced.

“A lot of people said that that’s why the Black people like me because they have been hurt so badly and discriminated against, and they actually viewed me as I’m discriminated against,” Trump claimed.

He insisted that Black voters had flocked to him because of the mugshot photo from his booking in the Fulton County jail. “When I did the mug shot in Atlanta, that mug shot is No. 1,” Trump claimed. “You know who embraced it more than anyone else? The Black population.”

"Those blacks love sneakers and crime, we've definitely got the black vote locked down this election."

-The GOP, without a hint of irony

I mean, if they say that behind closed doors, at least they evolved to calling them "the blacks" instead of other more colourful terms.

On the one hand, anyone in the GOP talking about racial discrimination is a step in the right direction.

On the other hand, he just compared his completely warranted and legitimate indictments to the oppression of Black Americans…

The commonality is that both groups feel oppressed. One because it is and has been through structural inequities. The second because of entitlement and privilege (my freedom should be absolute).

That mugshot is hilarious. You just know he was practicing in a mirror looking for something to make him look cool and defiant, and he settles on "toddler intentionally shitting their pants because you told them it's time to get ready for bed" as his preferred expression?

he settles on “toddler intentionally shitting their pants because you told them it’s time to get ready for bed” as his preferred expression?

There's a reason for that...

“When I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, I’m basically the same,” the 70-year-old presumptive Republican nominee once told a biographer. “The temperament is not that different.”

He is a spoiled toddler not getting his way anymore.

And he clearly looks like he's been crying in that mugshot.

Ladies and gentlemen. The former president of the United States of America.

And contendor for most flagrantly racist man of the decade.

Actually, he's a contender to the presidency. Wake the fuck up america

[–] DogPeePoo@lemm.ee 7 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

He was crying like a 5 year old just before that mugshot

I challenge “tough guy” Trump to one simple task— take your shirt off and show your followers what peak masculinity looks like

I’ll get the cranberries and gravy ready to eat with those Turkey tits

Some day, if I'm lucky, I'll feel like this again and it'll be the dementia setting in.
