Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

I'm having trouble searching for / subscribing to some small communities on small instances. They don't show up in the search. It doesn't matter whether I use the community name or the. !xxx@yyy.zzz format.

I don't know if this is a Jerboa issue or due to my "home" instance or a federation problem.

I'd like to both solve my problem and better understand how federation search works. Anyone have some insight?

The initial search doesn't work in Jerboa. You have to do it in the web interface of your instance. Search once for !xxx@yyy.zzz on web and after that you do a normal community search in Jerboa for xxx
