I hope Paradox's greedy DLC doesn't ruin this game. I can imagine a worst case scenario where they make DLC packs available for alien races, ships, planets, etc..

I know my tastes have changed a bit since I was a kid, but I got hundreds of hours out of vanilla Armada. If the expansions get too pricey, I would probably just stick with the base game.
Man, I spent so much time playing Birth of the Federation, and that was kind of a buggy disaster of a game. I really hope this turns out good
I’m delighted this is being released on Steam.
Now if only Resurgence was there too.
There’s a really good star trek mod for Stellaris already, I wonder how this will compare to that
Two of them, actually! I personally prefer the newer one, New Civilizations. Less buggy, gets updated quicker, plus just generally a higher level of polish.
Interesting! I’ve played a bit of New Horizons and it’s amazing, if New Civilizations is even better I’ll definitely have to check that out
New Horizons, it's basically the only way I play stellaris. Can't recommend it enough.
Have you tried the Star Trek mod for Sins of a Solar Empire? I had quite a bit of fun with that one.
I have not, it’s been a while since I’ve played sins, sounds like a fun excuse to revisit!
i've eyed stellaris for quite a long time, but never bit the bullet. I think i am skeptical of buying a game just for a mod. this game looks very promising!
